What Is the Best Time of Day for Our Wedding or Photoshoot?
Choosing the right time of day can make a significant difference in the outcome of your photos. The island offers two golden opportunities: morning at sunrise and afternoon at sunset.
The soft, warm light during these times adds a romantic touch to your images, creating a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere.
If you are interested in a morning shoot, please note that you will be waking up to travel to the location before sunrise. Our most popular time of day for photoshoots is late afternoon into the sunset, and dusk.
What Should We Wear?
When selecting your outfits, I suggest wear something you feel good in. If you feel good, you look good.
Consider the island's natural colors and your surroundings. For a classy elegant look, go with whites, blacks, blues or greens. For a more modern pop look, go with yellows, pinks, reds or oranges.
Avoid busy prints and patterns, as they can be visually distracting and make your figure less distinguishable in the photos.
How to Choose The Right Dress?
For brides, I recommend to choose two different styles so you don’t limit yourself to just one style.
Do consider comfort, so you can move easily in your dress. You’ll be wearing it for an extended period, so comfort is crucial. Please keep in mind that alterations can significantly enhance the fit and look of your dress.
Choose a dress that reflects your personal style and makes you feel confident and beautiful. Don’t feel pressured to follow trends if they don’t resonate with you.
Remember, it’s your special day, and the most important thing is that you feel comfortable, beautiful, and confident in the dress you choose.
What to Wear if I'm Pregnant?
Embrace your pregnancy journey by opting for a maternity dress that showcases your bump while providing the ultimate level of comfort.
Flowing, pastel-toned dresses can create stunning visuals against the island's lush landscapes, capturing the joy and anticipation of this precious time.
The key is to choose a dress that makes you feel comfortable and at ease, as this will result in the best photos!
Can I Do Multiple Outfit Changes?
Absolutely! Changing outfits can add depth and diversity to your photos.
Feel free to incorporate different styles and colors to create a varied and captivating collection of images that reflect the multifaceted nature of your love story.
The number of outfit changes that are possible, all depends on the package that you have booked and the amount of time that we shoot together! If you have any questions related to this please contact me!
Rain or Shine: Dealing with Unpredictable Weather!
While Kaua'i typically offers sunny and pleasant weather, the occasional shower is a possibility.
In case of a small shower, I recommend waiting it out, as these can often lead to the most enchanting post-rain photos.
If we get completely rained out of our photoshoot, we will reschedule to the best time per both of our schedules.
However, in case of a big storm, we will know from the forecast and plan accordingly.
The forecast is only accurate about 12-24 hours out as weather changes quickly on Kaua'i as there are many microclimates.
In the unlikely yet unfortunate scenario that we are unable to shoot at all during your vacation, there will be no charge to you.
